Bassface Sascha Bassface Sascha truly is the one drum&bass pioneer in germany. Back in 1991 he aroused in cooperation with Holger (Groover) Klein, a break-beat-hysteria in the Rhine-Neckar-area (radiating from the milk!-club in Mannheim) which soon reached Frankfurt (XS-club). just one year later, sascha played at the Mayday and it was the very first Drum&Bass set at a German megarave. Since then he has been playing all around the globe and has become an essential part of big d&b and techno-events like Love Parade, Rave City (Munich), Euphoria (Frankfurt), Meditation, Future Nights and Mayday "Sonic Empire". In May 1997 he started his own weekly radio-show "Reload" on Evosonic radio and since January 1999 Sascha is going to do his own weekly show "Outbreak" on HR/XXL. He also appeared several times on MTV and VIVA as a guest VJ.

Due to Drum&Bass being the fastest changing electronic music ever, Sascha's style/sound is hard to describe. The fact remains: being a DJ for 17 years helped Sascha develop his very own mixing-technique and gave him a strong reputation as a sinister mixer.

In 1994 Sascha founded Smokin' Drum Recordings as a platform for his own productions and upcoming artists like Skeleton Rock (Bassline Generation), Paderborn Killers, dj redoo, maya and many others. In 1997 Smokin' Drum was voted Germanys best d&b-label at the "Future Music Awards"- Sascha himself was voted best national producer and best national DJ in this genre. Besides hisown releases there are many remixes from Sascha (e.g. at Motor, MfS, Advanced Biosystems, Kus...) as well as some movie and advertisement-soundtracks (Nike).
