Barbara Lahr She is known as THE voice of the german southwest and a respected performance-artist - and she is a true phenomenon. From the late 80s, when she had her breakthrough with her band "Sanfte Liebe" (Winner of the German Rock-award 1989 and the WDR-Studioaward 1990) she made her way not only as an excellent musician - live, at the studio, or in film- or stage-productions - always surprising wtith highly interesting bands and projects ranging from weird but smooth pop to exquisite chansons á la Lahr or in the tradition of Weill. From rockabilly and bluegrass to cool-melting blues and triphop. Always heading for new horizons, Barbara Lahr can't be pigeon-holed. Her fascinating versatility is represented by her great number of different releases like the celebrated album "New Flowers" with her former band "Sanfte Liebe" or the soundtrack for the movie "Raven Black Magic Rock" together with the Black Theater Prague. She also participated in the De-Phazz Album "Detunized Gravity" (produced by Pit Baumgartner) and the first single "Good Boy" has become a true insider-tip. |
