Wax Tailor is more than well known for his different activities in the band La Formule. Multi talent Wax Tailor was acting as a rapper, composer, producer and manager there. In the beginning of the 1990s, he started addling up with the sounds and the words. In 1998 Wax Tailor created his imprint “Lab’oratoire” in order to produce different projects including La Formule as well as the series of “Breaking the wave” Breakbeat and the Breathing Under Water project with the Swedish Band Looptroop. In 2002 the first EP of the project was released and at the same time he started producing his Wax Tailor project.

In his music Wax Tailor is using samples like directors use their actors. His records are conceived as orchestral movies between Hip Hop and Downtempo. Wax Tailor is capturing forgotten melodies, transforming them and putting them in a completely new context, telling us a story on his own. Every single track is a sequence, a small part in a huge patchwork of memories, sounds and pictures – arranged with his outstanding intuition for the right balance of the right sounds! This is the talent Wax Tailor is famous for! And you can hear this on “Que Sera” with its six tracks, full of wonderful harmonies, smart quotes from the past, warm and earthy sounds and the right dose of funkyness.
